Coolair Services Recruits New Senior Team

Coolair Services have recently made three new, senior team appointments to further strengthen it’s offering to the air conditioning industry.

Scott Lightfoot, Phil Dickinson and Gideon Mayers, join with over 70 years of experience between them and have an extensive knowledge of the air conditioning sector. They will assist in the growth and development of the current design and installation division.

With an existing experienced support network and expert installation engineers in place, the team will lead on a new strategy for Coolair Services, which is now one of the largest, nationwide service organisations in the country. This combination will allow the business to offer a complete customer package, tailored specifically for any client requirements.

Lightfoot will be joining as National Account Manager, working with existing clients and overseeing the set up of new projects. Previous to this, Lightfoot was National Account Manager at Coolair Equipment LTD and was responsible for the retail roll out of all projects, as well as the overall management of all staff nationwide to ensure activity was delivered as expected.

Dickinson joins as Regional Sales Manager, following 17 years of service at Coolair Equipment LTD. Both ONC and HNC qualified, Dickinson is an expert in air conditioning units and design, developing the best in the industry and supplying products and services across the UK.

Mayers, joining as Regional Sales Manager, started in the industry at grass roots level in 1994 before progressing to Lead Engineer at Coolair Equipment LTD in 1997. In 2001 he left the overalls behind, getting suited and booted for the role of Junior Contracts Engineer within the office team. Since then Mayers has progressed through the ranks of senior contracts, junior sales and design, up to present day as managing regional sales with 27 years of experience.

Founder of Coolair Services, John Gay, is delighted to have the experienced new hires on board, commenting: “I’ve known Scott, Phil and Gideon for many years now and each one of them really is an expert in their own department. They have fantastic industry knowledge and are a powerful, well-cohesive team and I’m really pleased they’ve joined us. I really do think that this will help the business step up its offering, with some exciting things already in the pipeline for the future with our new team.”

On International Women’s Day 2019, we decided to celebrate all the fantastic women who work here at Coolair Services.

Hayley, Natalie, Nikki, Kim, Melanie, Jenny and Mollie all work really hard within their individual roles to ensure the smooth running of our North and South divisions of the business.  Creating an efficient, friendly and happy place of work.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, they have each chosen a quote that has meaning to them highlighting achievements of women before them and to influence the women of tomorrow.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the wonderful women out there and continue doing your bit to build a better more balanced future.

“A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. A woman must do what he can’t.”

Well Done Tom!
Massive congratulation to our engineer Tom Ratcliffe who has recently achieved his City & Guilds F GAS and ODS Regulation (2079) Qualification.
This qualification focusses on the major principles of F-Gas and Ozone depleting substances and Tom has competently passed both knowledge and practical assessment modules in leak checking, recovery, installation service and maintenance of equipment.
“Congratulation Tom were proud of you and all your hard work”.
Coolair Services are proud to invest resources into the training of our employees always promoting staff development and improving our workforce to create a stronger more competent team.
New Fleet for Installation Team
Since Coolair Services launched their installations team at the end of 2017 they have been going from strength to strength.  In January this year, we decided to invest in specially designed vans for the team to enable them to carry parts directly to sites with ease.
The Renault Trafic Business + model was chosen for its extra long wheel base with clever storage solutions, creating space for 3 metre lengths of copper tubing.  The vans have been specifically kitted out to work for us with bags of room for air conditioning units and installation equipment in the back and a full team of willing engineers in the front.
These vans have now been released into our fleet so look out for our teams on the road and keep us in mind for your next air conditioning installation.
2018 - What a Year!!
As a New Year begins it is time to reflect on the past year and how Coolair Services Ltd has flourished and grown as a business.
Since moving into our new Bredbury and Maidstone premises at the end of 2017 Coolair Services Ltd hit the ground running in 2018, not only continuing to thrive and increase it’s well established Service and Maintenance Department but also to introduce our new Sales and Installations Department in the early part of the year.  All departments spent 2018 running on full throttle, going from strength to strength.
During this time we built up strong partnerships with suppliers and gained manufacturer partnership accreditations from Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Panasonic and Fujitsu.  We have also sent our engineers on various training courses to increase their knowledge of new systems and changes within the industry, ensuring competent service to our new and current customer base and to stay one step ahead of the competition.
We’ve worked really hard this year as a team to implement processes into the business, meaning that 2019 will see us accredited to ISO9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO45001:2018 (OH&S) standards.
We have also achieved accreditation from Safe Contractor (Gold) as well as Constructionline proving our continuous safe working practices for our customers and staff wellbeing.
To help us complete all these challenges, we have installed a new cloud based computer server and upgraded our service computer system to increase capability and communications between the offices and engineers in the field and to stay GDPR compliant.  We have even built a new website to keep you up to date with the changes within the industry and our company.
We have invested in our vehicle fleet and are continuing to do so into 2019 so we are fully equipped to meet our customer’s requirements throughout the UK.
I am sure you will agree we have had an extremely successful 2018 and we would like to thank all our customers for your continued support.  We have so much more planned and we are looking forward to 2019 being another exciting year ahead!
